Somogy country`s treasure-Pusztatorony
On the outskirts of Somogyvámos, amongst the cornfields, ruins of a medieval temple rise. It has been the pride of the local people for centuries - 800 years ago it provided shelter, at present it is a visitor attraction.

NextRuins of the Benedictine Abbey, Somogyvár
Prince Koppány`s castle, Somogyvár, was a significant cultural and cultic center in the Middle Ages. His Abbey, which was one of the era`s largest and most legendary establishments, was built over 900 years ago for French benedictine monks invited by Saint Ladislaus.
Some experts believe that monks living in the Abbey noted down the "Funeral Sermon and Prayer", the oldest handwritten Hungarian text.
Széchenyi-castle park, Somogyvár
At the Paris World Fair in 1900 the park was presented as one of the jewels of Hungarian park culture of the time.
NextCsiszta Thermal Bath (Buzsák)
Csiszta Thermal Bath, located only 5 kms away from Buzsák, is a popular visitor attarction thanks to its 42 °C warm, hydrocarbonated, sulphuric thermal water that is rich in mineral substances and carbonic acid.
Due to its composition, the water can be used to treat locomotor and rheumathic disorders, gynaecological problems and gastric diorders.
The thermal water at Csiszta has been declared medicinal waters by the Hungarian Board of Medicinal Waters.
Rippl-Rónai Museum
József Rippl-Rónai, the painter, is probably the most famous son of Kaposvár. The museum dedicated to his work was opened in 1978. The exhibition presents about 90 of his paintings and it is housed by the Villa Róma, the painter`s own home, furbished with his original furniture.

Otter Park in Petesmalom
At the junction of Mike and Labod, it is easy to notice the sign announcing the "Otter Park". 10 more minutes drive on the forest-path and one can see Lake-Patikus: you have arrived to Petesmalom!

Deseda Forest park was created at the northern part of the lake in 1978 with various facilities, such as educational trails, parking lots, playgrounds, and eateries.
Deseda Forest park also includes the special 26 ha arboretum which stretches into the lake like a peninsula from the north.
